Day 291 – A Perfect Fall Day

Today was one of those perfect autumn days . . . the air was crisp, the sky was a deep blue, and the only clouds in the sky were the remnants of jet trails crisscrossing high above.

The recent cold weather and moisture resulted in a light dusting of snow on the mountains.  I had hoped to capture some of the snow on the mountains today when I took a walk up Pilot Butte . . . but most of it had already melted.  But we have been promised snow at the higher elevations over the weekend so I expect that I will get some “snow-covered mountain” photos very soon.

  1. Wonderful catch – that sky is so beautiful and the day so clear .. can feel the fresh and crispy air. My pick of the day … the second last !!! With the mountain in the background.

      1. You’re right … I think the sky is so more intense in the fall. The whole nature are … really. Even if it rains a bit too much at times, I love the fall.
