Monday night was a full moon, and with a cloudless day, I had high hopes of getting some moon shots.

I didn’t consider the layer of smoke surrounding us from two nearby wildfires. While the moon wasn’t quite as clear as it would have been without the smoke, it gave it a hazy look and the smoke enhanced the color.

The smoke also gave us a gorgeous sunset which I will post soon.

These are some amazing shots! To me the first one is the best, the lovely pastel colors and the simplicity of the picture. Lovely!
Thank you very much, Reinhardt.
Fantastic moon!
Beautiful shots and while the smoke looks thick, it enhanced the moon rise….hope they get the fires out soon. We have had some of the smoke drift this way but so far it has not hung in the air too long. Can’t wait to see the sunset photos too:)
Thank you. The smoke seems to have died down quite a bit and I understand most of the fires are contained although the one at Warms Springs has increased in size. Hopefully we’ll get a little moisture soon . . . haven’t had any in a while and things are pretty dry around here.
Very very nice … I actually like it when there is a bit of haze be it smoke fog or mist… love them…
Thanks, Rob. I love a morning mist but we don’t get much of that here. It’s too dry.
Beautiful, sutil; for me, the 2nd is the best! Congrats Maralee
Thank you very much, Jaime.
These is something about the moon that makes us gravitate towards it. Great shots.
I know what you mean. I look forward to the full moon every month. Its sort of enchanting.
I was hoping for a moon shot but the weather didn’t co-operate so I am very pleased to see your beautiful shots.
I hate it when the weather doesn’t cooperate. Doesn’t Mother Nature know we want to take photos of her beauty?
She knows all right but she laughs at us.
Beautiful shots!
Thank you, CD.
Beautiful photos as always. You’re talent is beyond comprehension. Absolutely exceptional! Love you sis
