Most people know the children’s game, Duck, Duck, Goose. 98% of the country calls it that. I’m grew up in the 2% of the country that called it Duck, Duck, Gray Duck. I’d never heard of Duck, Duck, Goose until I moved from Minnesota and couldn’t figure out what it was. It was a question on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire once and I was sure the person was wrong when they called it Duck, Duck, Goose.

But this isn’t about that children’s game. I thought about it while I was down at the pond today and saw all of the ducks playing in the water. Then a bunch of geese flew over head and the game popped into my mind.
I don’t know how the ducks could stand sitting in the water. It was freezing out there today.

I can identify with you from the 2% of the population. Very nice pics.
Thanks, Judy. I remember playing it as a kid. LOOOONG time ago.
Oh I do love these photos….
Thank you, Rob.
Maralee, these pictures are exceptionally beautiful. That first one is almost surreal…
I envy the ducks and geese the chance to play in the water – it is so hot here today I can almost not breathe!
Thanks, Zelmare. While you’re baking, we’re starting to freeze. I think I prefer the cold over severe heat. You can only take some many clothes off when you’re hot, but you can put a lot of clothes when you’re cold.
Moon Duck. Hahahahahaahaha!!
