It has been fairly damp here recently. So when the temperatures dropped this morning to 25 degrees (-3 C), the result was a thin layer of frost on the ground.

I took that opportunity to get my camera out to take some photos of the frost on the fallen leaves. It was just before sunrise so there wasn’t a lot of light. It required using my tripod and a slow shutter speed.

All of the pics are beautiful.
Thank you, Judy. You probably saw a lot of this when you were in MN. Please say hi to your mom and give her my best when you go back next month.
How pretty! It looks like cake decorations – you know, where they dip flowers/fruit in egg white and then in confectioner’s sugar. 🙂
The frost added a lot to the leaves. They wouldn’t have looked as pretty without it.
I love the way the ice crystals make a little white line around the edge of the leaf. Beautiful Pictures!
Thank you, Wyatt.
Suddenly I feel a cold draft in my home…………..lol
You probably don’t get much frost down in San Diego. It’s hard getting out and taking photos when it’s so cold out. My fingers freeze until I can’t move them.
So pretty!
