I took these photos this morning while there was still some water drops left over from the watering last night.

Our strawberry plants are starting to develop the fruit. The only problem I have with the strawberry plants is that we don’t have enough of them to get much fruit. We probably will get a couple dozen strawberries the whole summer.

The poppy I was focusing on the center of the flower to get the stamens and used a shallow depth of field (f/5). That made the petals of the flower very unfocused.
The water drop photo has been cropped quite a bit. I wasn’t able to get as close as I would have liked with my tripod.

Maralee

That last photo is amazing, Maralee …. The single water drop lying in the leaf. Wonderful ! That beats most you have done lately and you have done loads of great shots.
Thanks, Viveka. I had to crop that photo quite a bit because my tripod doesn’t let me get as close as I’d like. A tripod for macro is now on my wish list. 🙂
It’s very tricky with working with marco .. need a steady hand. Really miss my old camera, where able to go so close that I was nearly inside the flower. The wishlist starts to grow … *smile

All great shots, the poppy seems to loose a bit of attraction with the blurred petals, clearly see the stamens, I think its the likeness in colour if it was more contrasting, not complaining I just love what you’re doing, just something about that photo I can’t put my finger on….The water droplet magnificent.. beyond words…
I know what you mean. The stamen and the petals are just about the same color so it’s hard to differentiate.
Beautiful photos. Heads up: Strawberry plants spread quickly, in a year or two you will have more strawberries than you know what to do with.
Thank you. The strawberries are contained in a relatively small area, so I think I would like them to spread out a bit. The more strawberries the better. 🙂
great stuff Maralee..I envy your macrolens…want droplets like that myself haha…well done
Now I just need a tripod to go with the macro lens that will get me up close and personal. 🙂
Is the orange flower the poppy-like bud that I liked a couple of days earlier? Lovely picctures, Maralee!!! 🙂
It is the same flower. So far I just have one poppy blooming. It looks like I might have a couple more buds that will flower soon.
Great jewelery images, fascinated. Thank you, with my love, nia
Thank you, Nia.
Flippin’ cool!!!
Thank you, Wendy.
