Day 64 – High Desert Museum
What a gorgeous day it was today. A real feel of spring in the air. The sun was shining, the birds were singing . . . it was a great day to be outdoors.

We took a trip to the High Desert Museum to check out some of the flora and fauna there. Surprisingly, it wasn’t overly crowded so we were able to take our time walking around.
The photos of the owl and the eagle were taking through fencing. I used the shallowest depth of field I had with my lens so the fence wouldn’t show on the photo.
The little girl with the hawk was taken indoors in low light. I had my tripod with me but It was hard to get a shot without the 2-year old moving about. The hawk scared her a couple of times.

As you can probably tell, the fish swimming upstream is a statute. And the tree stump . . . well, I just liked the texture.
It was a fun day and great to be outdoors.

That tree is trying to talk . . . you can see the eyes, nose, and the lips forming the word . . . “who?”
Next time I pass through Oregon, I’ll go answer it.
I’m sure the tree will still be there when you stop by.
Great photo .. the one with the jumping fish !!! Good sign that spring is on it’s way.
Thanks. The fish is actually a sculpture. But I thought it looked kind of cool. But I think spring is on the way.
Love the tree photograph! Took some pictures of a piece of driftwood at the seaside this weekend – don’t know yet what it looks like! 🙂
I grew up on a lake where we would get driftwood floating in all the time. I always wanted to know it’s story.
Beautiful shots! My favorite is the eagle, but then again I do LOVE eagles, can’t tell you why…. I just do.
I love how regal the eagle is, but I’m partial to owls. I have never been able to photograph one in the wild. . . I hope to have that opportunity some day.
