I had heard that there were osprey sightings by the river but I hadn’t seen it myself until today. This osprey was perched across the river from the nest that was built last year. The appears to be a female osprey and I didn’t see any sign of a mate. If you recall from last year, we had an osprey pair at the nest but mid-May one of the osprey disappeared. I hope this one has a mate.
