This is the same osprey from yesterday’s post. After it swooped down over me it landed in a tree across the river. If I hadn’t seen it land, I would not have known it was in the tree – it blended in very well.

Brilliant pictures, Osprey’s are so rare here that every nest is protected.
At one time they were endangered here because of pesticide use. Fortunately the population has recovered.
