Another bird I don’t see here in Oregon is the snowy egret. I saw a number of them while we were driving around the Upper Newport Bay Nature Preserve and Ecological Reserve. Again, these birds where quite a distance away and it was difficult to take decent photographs of them. These are very highly cropped.
If I were ever to go back, I’d take my 500mm lens and a tripod.

We hadn’t planned to do any “bird hunting” while we were there so I didn’t bring my telephoto lens.
been there…..just hope a Sasquatch doesn’t pop up.Some point & shoot cameras are small enough to carry all the time & have great zooming abilities!
