On Saturday when we were having all the snow falling, I was excited to see a northern flicker in the new maple tree we had planted this fall. It stayed for a few minutes . . . long enough for me to get my camera and take a few shots. And I was able to get a shot of it flying away. It’s even more beautiful with its wings spread.

Beautiful photos of a beautiful bird!
Thanks, Judy. I hope you’re having a good 2017.
Beautiful shots, especially the last one . . . and good thing there are no baby doves around this time of year.
Thanks. There’s not much of anything around right now with all the snow we’ve been getting. I’ve never seen a winter quite like this. Hawaii is looking REALLY good right now.
It is more comfortable now than it has been in a while. Wish it was like this year-round.
Wonderful shots. A good reward for planting the tree.
I’m hoping we get a few more birds in the trees this spring.
I am sure that you will.
Awesome in-flight captures!
