We had the most spectacular moon set yesterday morning. As I left home for work, the moon was a huge ball closing in on the horizon. I quickly went to the canal to take photos. The sky was an incredible shade of lavender and purple. The morning was quite chilly and there was a mist coming off the canal. I took a few shots there and then went a few miles down to the Old Mill to photograph the moon as it was setting behind the smoke stacks.
I wasn’t the only person the moon attracted. Several other people pulled over to the side of the road to photograph it. It was stunning.
Amazing moon photograph… fascinated me, Thank you dear Maralee, have a nice weekend, love, nia

Your photos of it are just stunning Maralee…
Thanks, Rob. It was one morning I was glad to be getting up so early. I usually miss these things.

Totally amazing pictures. I sure miss the scenery around bend. Today it is suppose to start raining in Albany.
Thanks, Anna. It’s supposed to start raining here tomorrow and we’re supposed to have a significant cooldown. I think the high is supposed to be around 59 tomorrow. I guess the heater will come on. 🙂
Beautiful images.
Stunning! God does “moon” pretty well, eh?
Wonderful photographs, Maralee! I do love the moon by the smokestacks.
That second shot with the reflections is simply stunning.
