The hummingbirds have been scarce at my feeder this summer. I didn’t see any for a long time.
Then, in the last couple of weeks, there have been two or three taking turns at the feeder.
Hopefully we’ll have them around for another month or so before they head south for the winter.

We’re still seeing a large number of them. 11 feeders (8 oz. each) getting refilled at least once a day, and some days more than once.
Wow – I change my water every couple of days but it’s never empty. I just want to give them fresh nectar.

Such cute photos! We have tons of hummingbirds this year; more than we’ve ever hosted. It’s so much fun to watch them play and chase each other. We have one dominant male that tries to guard the feeders. They make me laugh!
A couple of people have said they had a lot of hummer this summer. Not here so much. Hopefully we’ll have the ones we do have for another month or so before they head south.
I absolutely love all the wild birds but the hummers well they buzz my window when they come back in the spring and look at me like hey get me my food. Love them they are so beautiful, chatty and fun to watch a special season in this little thing called life.
Although we only have the hummers for a short time each year, I certainly enjoy them. I look forward to seeing them every summer.

I could never have enough Hummingbirds. I love them so much. Small but powerful.
I like that even though they’re tiny, they don’t take crap from anyone.

This has been quite the year for hummingbirds. Ours decided to come back after about a three-year hiatus. Or it’s a whole new batch. Lovely photos.
