They Just Keep Humming Along

Maralee_Park_130808_52251-EditThe hummingbirds have been scarce at my feeder this summer.  I didn’t see any for a long time.

Maralee_Park_130808_52216-EditHopefully we’ll have them around for another month or so before they head south for the winter.

  1. How wonderful … and sweet – that photo where he are using his wings … priceless. Excellent photo. I wish we had humming birds in Sweden, they are so wonderful. Lovely post. I can even manage to get a pigeon in a shot. *laughing.

  2. Such cute photos! We have tons of hummingbirds this year; more than we’ve ever hosted. It’s so much fun to watch them play and chase each other. We have one dominant male that tries to guard the feeders. They make me laugh!

  3. I absolutely love all the wild birds but the hummers well they buzz my window when they come back in the spring and look at me like hey get me my food. Love them they are so beautiful, chatty and fun to watch a special season in this little thing called life.

  4. This has been quite the year for hummingbirds. Ours decided to come back after about a three-year hiatus. Or it’s a whole new batch. Lovely photos.
