Juniper trees have always been a favorite subject for me. They have so much texture and they way their limbs can twist and turn makes them very interesting.

I took a photo of this tree because I liked the texture. I didn’t notice that it was watching me until I got home and one of the knots looked like an eyeball. I cropped it and rotated it to horizontal and I do believe it was watching us. Even mocking us.

Kind of creepy! lol
It is a little creepy.
Two eyes… one wide open.. the other half closed… and the tongue sticking out… yes, I’d say the tree was mocking you…
It was bad enough that he was staring at me. He didn’t have to stick his tongue out too.
Like most trees, this one is positively evil.
This one more so than most.
Way cool!
I thought so, too.
He has a bit of an overbite. 🙂 I noticed a tree by the pond in CO where I would walk with my grandchild. We started saying hello to it and of course I photographed it. Now she always has to go up and hug it on their walks.
That’s so sweet. A real tree hugger. 🙂
Here’s looking at you, kid. Great shots.
Thanks. Now every time I go into the forest, I’ll be watching for the trees watching me.
I think that it is just taking an intelligent interest in your work,
But why would he stick his tongue out at me. That’s not very nice. I’m not a paparazzi.
Oh, yeah. That’s kind of squick-inducing.
:-). I’m not sure what squick is but I’ll say I agree.
Fantastic! It looks like it has personality 🙂
