As I was pulling out of my garage yesterday, I noticed this lovely young lady in my front yard. I think she was checking out my flowers to see if I had any new treats for her.
Especially for sport. If it was to eat to live, then fine. But for the sport of it, I can’t handle that. I also hate sport fishing that lands the fish, takes the picture, and throw it back. Trauma and injury to the animal just for the pic. No.
Your doe looks a little thinner in the face and longer in the ear than the doe we have here. I wonder if they are a different species? (And maybe species isn’t the right biological term I’m seeking . . .)
Wonderful wonderful shots. She is a real beauty.
Thank you. I think she’s beautiful too.
What a beautiful portrait. She was coming for desert.
Thank you, Pat. I don’t think she actually ate anything from the garden. I think she was just looking.
How precious – it’s like its keeping an eye on you … what a gracious animal.
I love it when they come to my yard . . . even if they do like to snack on my flowers.
Stunning animal .. and your photo dose if full honor.
Sweet! Happy 4th you guys!
Thank you very much.
So pretty. I have a hard time understanding how anyone can go deer hunting.
Thank you Lilly. I don’t understand hunting either. But then I didn’t grow up in a family with anyone who hunted. I could never kill and animal.

A real treat to see the deer through your lens.
Thank you.
A lovely visitor to have in the garden…
She is and I enjoy having her around.
She’s a beauty!
Thanks, Carissa. She is a beauty.
Beautiful captures 🙂
Thank you, Inga.

I think the deer around here are mule deer, but I’m not 100% certain about that.
Oh. Well that would make sense. Ours are white-tailed, I think.
