We are a part of the heat wave that has engulfed the west.
Our temperatures have not been as hot as what we are seeing in Arizona and Nevada, but it is very hot nonetheless. As a result, I haven’t been spending too much time outdoors. But two nights ago, I could see the sky turning a beautiful orange-red at sunset and had to go out to photograph it. I knew I didn’t have much time before it was completely gone so I went across the street and took some silhouette photos. This way the houses that are in the way don’t show up. :-).

You captured the magical sunsets with such beauty!
Thank you very much. We can have some really gorgeous sunsets here.
Wow! Such intense colors.
I know. The color only lasted about 5 minutes before it got too dark.
What beautiful colours… good capture..
Thank you, Rob. If I’d had time, I would have gone somewhere that had a better background. But I only had about 5 minutes to work with.
I hope it cools down soon. We could do with a bit of your heat (but not too much) here.
It has cooled down into the 80’s which is a relief. Fortunately for us, the nights are almost always much cooler.
