The photos are excellent, but I believe that the birds are scrub jays, not blue jays.
I think you’re right. Someone else told me that before but I don’t know my birds very well. I’m learning them though. 🙂
I have that problem with wildflowers, I can never remember them.
the wild life in your yard must think you are one of them – you are able to get such close up photos -way cool.
Actually, these are outside my window at the office. I put up a bird feeder in the tree out front. Needless-to-say, they are a distraction to working. 🙂
I think I’m gonna have to put one of these up in our yard… what with squirrels and birds it should keep me entertained for hours…

This is the first time I’ve heard of scrub jays. They’re pretty. I think I might like them better than the blue jays. Not sure. You always make everything look good.
I thought they were blue jays until someone told me otherwise and then I looked it up. They are very loud and have an irritating screeching sound which is particularly irritating at 4:00 a.m. But they are pretty.
