Another sign of spring is that the deer are back.
I’ve been seeing deer on my drive to work almost every day, and yesterday they came back to visit my yard.
There were two adult deer and three yearlings. They have quite lost their winter coats yet. It was good to have them back.

They are so adorable. In Victoria Island, there are so many of them in residential areas. Waking up and seeing a deer in the lawn and back garden, oh dear, delightful. Thanks for bringing them back.
We live right on the edge of the city and see the wildlife all around. Other than the deer, most of the critters we see are smaller . . . raccoon, skunk, rabbits, etc. I really love having the wildlife so close to home.
This made me smile!
Thanks, Carissa. They always make me smile too.
Are they blacktail deer? They look too small for mule deer.
I think they’re mule deer but I could be wrong. These are still pretty young. Mom was quite a bit bigger.
Such a beautiful creatures ….. lucky you that have visitors like that – that last photo is so beautiful … those eyes.
I always enjoy when them come into my yard – even if they do eat my flowers.
Lovely captures can almost see the excitement in your photos…
I bet you have a really hard time having a nice garden with those beautiful visitors. I’m sure it’s a love/hate relationship.
