These are very lovely pictures. I particularly like the bottom one where the subject has posed in the middle of an harmonious composition. If only all birds were so helpful.
When I first put out my feeder, they would scatter at the slightest noise and I had a hard time photographing them. But I think they’ve gotten used to me a little because they don’t seem quite as jumpy anymore and I’m able to get them to sit still long enough to photograph. 🙂
Thank you, Viveka. These little birds sit on a tree right outside my office window. They’re only about 5 feet away from me so I photograph them through the window.
Superb images Maralee. The first one is my favorite. He looks so pensive.
Thank you, Edith. Watching their expressions, it sometimes seems like they’re trying to tell me something.
What outstanding captures… marvelous… now get back to your flowers you’re putting my photos to shame…
Thanks, Rob. I’m waiting for the spring flowers to start to bloom. :-). That may be a while so until then . . . it may be birds. 🙂
how lovely they are… I loved them all, especially the light and colours… Thank you dear, Have a nice weekend, love, nia
Thank you, Nia.

My policy was to get a longer lens and put the feeder right outside the kitchen window but being nice to the birds is probably a better policy.
Lovely photos!
Thank you very much.
Very pretty and cute …. you are so close up with them too … the last one is like I “feel” how soft he is.

That explain the softness in him … so cute and soft looking.
These are perfect little song sweeties. The second one I’ve never seen before. You are so kind to share these with us.
Thank you, Bella. I need to get a bird book to identify the different birds. I’m not very good at that.
