I try to carry a camera with me wherever I go. Sometimes I just take my little point-and-shoot . . . especially when I’m just out for my daily walk.
This week we had some badly needed rain and the cloud formations were wonderful. And since it’s starting to warm up, a friend and I have been walking the butte on my lunch break. It’s 1 mile up and 1 mile down and with the drive time to get there, I can just about finish it in the 1 hour I have for lunch.
From the top of the butte, you can get a 360 view of the city and surrounding mountains.
Fortunately, we didn’t get rained on during our walks, but we were deluged a little later.

And the title rhymes! The next blog a literary one?
Trust me . . . that was just a fluke. If I’d tried to make it rhyme, I would never have been able to come up with anything. 🙂
Beautiful as always. You live in an incredible place, especially for a photographer.
Thanks. We do live in a beautiful, very diverse, area.
I just love the title… and the photos with a point-and-shoot … magnificent… looks a lovely place to walk…
Thanks, Rob. It is a lovely place to walk and it’s right in town so it’s easily accessible.
Yesterday I had pizza for lunch . . . but forgot to photograph it.
. . . it would not have compared . . .
It probably would have made me hungry, though.
It looks like a lovely place for a daily walk, much more scenic than where I take mine!
It is a pretty place to walk. We have quite a few buttes in the area that have trails to the top so I’m hoping to hike a few more of them over the spring and summer.
Such wonderful skies Maralee.
Thank you, Bella. They almost looked like thunderclouds but we didn’t have any thunderstorms to go with them. Thank goodness. It’s so dry here right now, I’m hoping we don’t get any thunderstorms for a while.
The first one is so beautiful. Such amazing scenery. 🙂
You post A LOT. I was in Oregon for my first time last week and went through Sisters and Bend, lovely country.
Last year I did a 365 photo challenge where I took a photo(s) every day and posted them. It was quite a challenge but I finished it. When this year started, I couldn’t stop. 🙂 The photos this year aren’t necessarily taken every day- some are photos from previous trips I’ve taken. I’m glad you enjoyed traveling through our fair city. Maralee
