My Hens and Chicks succulents are expanding and are starting to flower. I love these plants and like that they are taking over my “desert-scape” area of my yard. They don’t need much water so they’re perfect in that area.
I like these plants because they’re interesting and they grow quite easily in our high desert climate. We started with one plant (the hen) and now have about 100 more plants (the chicks) that grew from that one. I’m fine with that. We have it planted in an area of our yard that doesn’t have any water going to it so it makes the area green without having to put sprinklers in that area.
