Today was one of those days when snow squalls passed through all day. I took a moment when the sun was shining to go down to the river to take photos of the ducks. They’re always fun to photograph.

There is a jetty/dock built out into the Deschutes River that is the perfect place to duck watch. There are a lot of old logs in the water where the ducks like to sit and enjoy the sun. It’s a peaceful place to sit when the weather is nice . . . not so much in the winter. Even though the sun was shining while I was there, it was cold.

Maralee, the flying duck … is my clear favorite – it’s not blurry at all .. I like the movement in his wings – that brings action into the photo. It’s a truly brilliant photo.
Not many days left now … *smile
Thanks, Viveka. I can’t believe there’s only a week left in this year. I have to figure out what my blog will be about next year;
Very nice. I love that first photo, Tuxedo.
Thank you, Bente. Merry Christmas.
Beautiful captures, Maralee!
Thanks, Carissa. (As you can see, I’m trying to get caught up on some of my email.)
I feel your pain. I’m still going through mine. I think I’ll still be congratulating people on completing their 365 project in February!
Agreed – the movement in the flying bird is amazing.
Thanks, Wendy. They flew by so fast and unexpectedly that I didn’t have much time to get my camera ready. I took several shots and this was the only one that showed movement without being too blurry.
