The day started out very nice. The sun was shining, it wasn’t too cold. I took the opportunity to go to the park and see how the trees were faring. There are virtually no leaves left on the trees . . . they are all on the ground now. Workers with leaf blowers and a big leaf vacuum were out gathering the leaves on the ground. There were still quite a lot of leaves around the tree trunks.

A little squirrel was scampering about the park and I tried to follow him to get his picture. He would hide behind trees, try to disguise himself among the ducks. He finally climbed up a tree and sat there taunting me. He stayed just long enough for me to get his picture.
The pine tree I converted to black and white. I took it into Photoshop and added a diffused glow to the clouds.
By this afternoon, it had clouded over and is raining pretty steadily.

I love the last one!
Thanks, Carissa.
The second pic is special…to me, that is. 🙂
Thank you, Zelmare.
Sorry Maralee I can’t choose a favorite .. I like them all, do the squirrels not hibernate through the winter… or do they still scurry around in the snow… that one sure looks well fed… lovely shot…
The squirrels don’t hibernate during the winter. We will see them scurrying around the pine trees collecting pine nuts. When the weather is REALLY bad, we may not see them for a few days, but once the sun comes out, they’re out and about.
Back again !!! Need a break from all the friendly work *smile – the top photos is just stunning … and I like the little squirrel – he are checking you out *smile
Thank you, Viveka. It was a gorgeous day that day. Now we’ve had a lot of rain and some very high winds yesterday.
