Day 300 – Juniper Trees

There is light at the end of the tunnel.   I have made it to day 300 and now there are only 66 days left.  I truly feel that I will make it to the end of this journey . . .

Most of you know that I have a great affinity towards trees.  I grew up in the north woods of Minnesota and trees are like a security blanket to me.  It doesn’t matter what kind of trees they are . . . they just make me feel good.

We have many different kinds of pine trees here.  We have the massive ponderosa pines, tall, skinny lodgepole pines . . . and we have lots and lots of juniper pines.  The most interesting thing about the juniper pines, to me, is how their trunks get twisted around.  They look somewhat scraggly but they are interesting.  The bad think about them is they produce a lot of pollen and if you’re allergic to the pollen like I am, spring can be a miserable time of year.

  1. Wow day three hundred … does that mean you have posted 300 posts.?.. congratulations… and I bet that you have kept your standard high all the way through… well done and lovely photos once more…

    1. Thanks, Rob. My goal was to take and post a photo every day this year. Of course I had to pick a leap year which added and extra day. 🙂 I have 66 days left. I’m going to continue to blog after that but I won’t have the pressure of a photo every day. It would be quite so hard if I wasn’t working 8-10 hours a day.
