There are some days that the beauty that surrounds me literally takes my breath away. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets to that all the time. I’m usually driving to work around sunrise. This morning, I had to stop to photograph the incredible sunrise. The sun wasn’t actually up yet, but the color in the clouds was amazing.
These were all taken at the same place at different focal lengths within about a 2 minute period.

What time were you up to get shots like that … really wonderful – for my daily pick I chose the middle one. By the way I’m now looking at new Cannon Powershot SX260 instead – supposed to be so good as SLR camera and I’m free to carry all the extra lenses. 20x optisk zoom (39x ZoomPlus) – Have problems to make up my mind … problem is that I don’t want to carry with all the different lenses.
Thanks, Vivkeka. These were taken about 6:55 a.m. I’m usually on my way to work about that time. I know what you mean about carrying lenses. I use a backpack and sometimes after being out for a while, my back starts aching. I try to take only 1-2 lenses with me so I don’t have so much extra weight.
