Today we are almost 2/3 of the way through this year’s photo challenge. I have found throughout this project that some days it is easy to get inspiration and take photos, other days very difficult. Sometime time is a factor. When you’re working full-time, other, more pressing things can get in the way.
Today is one of those days that I didn’t have a lot of time or inspiration. So my photos are from close to home. A couple of water drops on a leaf after the sprinklers stopped. The other from the empty lot across the street where there are some old, burned out trees.
133 days to go. Then I’ll have to set new goals.

Thanks for 2/3 of the year enjoyment for us so far.
Thanks, Judy. I look forward to the next 133 days.
Thanks Maralee.. for all I’ve seen since following you… got lots of ideas from your photos, which are all brilliant… hope at the end of the year I hope you find something to keep you on a daily post as I enjoy it… thank you…lovely captures as usual…
Thanks, Rob. I know I’ll keep posting next year but it may not be on a daily basis. I will think of some project before then to keep me busy. 🙂
I know exactly what you are saying! I haven’t posted for a week (until last night) because I did not have time to take pictures. Or rather maybe lacking in inspiration, because if I saw something that inspired me, I would have taken pictures! 🙂 But extremely well done for someone with little time, your pictures today are stunning! 🙂
Thanks, Zelmare. I appreciate it. I think my biggest problem is running out of time to do everything I want to get done.
. . . uh . . . ah . . . er . . . don’t know if I should mention it, or maybe I don’t understand the challenge, but . . .
366/3 ==>> 122
2 x 122 ==>> 244
If I understand the challenge correctly, 2/3 of the way is in 10 days.
Okay, so math isn’t my strongest subject. 🙂 I stand corrected. Now I really feel like an idiot.
See, I knew I should have kept my mouth shut. No need to feel like that; our minds get preoccupied with stuff, and these things happen. Besides, our brains are wired for those kinds of comparisons – day 233, 133 left. 2/3 gone, 1/3 left.
Numbers are wily that way; they’ll try to fool you, especially if one is distracted by very nice photos.
Of course, you could replace the “2/3” with “0.637” in both the title and text, and delete my comment. Future generations will think it whimsical you chose to spotlight day 233.
Actually I think it’s pretty funny. I can’t tell my husband though . . . he won’t be able to stop laughing.
Even if I have a weakness for rain and water drops in photos .. that top one are so delicate – but my pick will be the grey photo with the yellow flowers, stunning and so catching. Is that the way the photo came out, amazing.
Thanks, Viveka. I actually did some processing on it. I converted the original to black and white and then brought the yellow color back in Photoshop.
Wonderful … London started to have postcards like this many years ago and still have .. with a red mail box or red bus .. or a stop sign. Fell in love with that way to make photos interesting. I will start playing around too.
I’m so grateful that you and the rest of us are still going at it, even when it’s hard. Close to home…that’s what I did today too. Heck, yesterday’s photo was on the way home from work! But I love seeing what you come up with every day.
Thanks, Carissa. The weekdays are the hardest when I have to find time before, during or after work. Plus everything that comes with grocery shopping, dinner, and all the other household stuff that has to get done. I think I need about 4 more hours in my day. 🙂
Ain’t it the truth!
¡Me encanta!
Thank you so much.
