Day 111 – A “Teaser” Summer Day

What a treat it was today to have a little taste of summer. Blues skies, sunshine, and temperatures in the 70’s. I decided to walk a portion of the Deschutes River Trail  that I haven’t been on in quite some time. It’s an easy walk along the Deschutes River.

Because it was such a beautiful day, there were many people out recreating – walking, biking, kayaking, paddle boarding, etc., so I focused my photos on people out enjoying themselves.

The bright sun was pretty harsh for taking photos and it was actually a little warmer than I like it when I go hiking and after a couple of hours I headed back home.

The weather is supposed to be like this the rest of the weekend so I expect I’ll be out doing some more exploring.

  1. I know exactly where you were walking as I have walked the same trail….beautiful and so serene. I love Bend and the mountains….the energy and beauty:) Thank you for sharing the day…have a great weekend in the high desert sun:)

  2. that really looks like a summer day… I envy you a bit ’cause all we had here was rain, wind and it was still far too cold for the time of year.
Great shot on the swans… they are so lovely!

    1. It was a beautiful day, but it won’t last. Our really nice weather doesn’t start until mid-June and then in really is beautiful for about 3 months. Then it’s mostly sunshine every day. But then it gets very dry and we have a lot of forest fires in the area.

  3. Summer day … how wonderful – we are like inside a milk package today. Thick fog, so I soak in your taste of the summer day here. Thank you.

  4. Our “teaser” summer day was 98 degrees at 6 pm last night. Today, tomorrow and Monday are all supposed to be in the high 90’s. It’s times like these I wish I lived in Oregon. It looks beautiful there, around the river trail. Obviously you’re doing a 365 project. Good luck.
