After several days of snow, snow and more snow, the sun appeared today and it was a gorgeous day. The sky was a clear, deep blue and the colors just popped. I took another venture to the park at lunchtime today. Even though it was sunny and clear, it was cold and windy. The ducks and geese were playing in a sheltered area of the river and didn’t seem to want to venture too far from the area.

I really like all of the photos a lot.
I hate when ducks moon me . . . my vote is for the leaves.
I know what you mean. I think they’re shy ducks. As soon as I pointed my camera at them they all “duck”ed.
Maralee …. thanks for Spring you bring to me this morning – lovely photos as always. Only 10.30 over here and we have a fantastic morning too – going to be cold over the weekend, but no snow in sight yet.
Understand my ducks duck – I don’t like to be an object neither *smile
We’re supposed to have a 180 degree change in weather this weekend. It’s 13 degrees F right now and by Sunday its supposed to be near 60. I’m hoping to get up the mountain a ways to take some photos this weekend. We’ll see . . .
We are going to have a chilly but sunny weekend and going to the gym today – I saw the first spring flowers .. have to take a photo tomorrow. Love the spring !!!
It is so fascinating to see the changes taking place. You’ve captured the essence of this metamorphosis through your photography. Your unique eye has provided that needed “pause” we all need in our lives to take in and truly experience our environment. Thanks for sharing your wonderful gift.
Joyce – thank you so much. I love this time of year when life starts to emerge. We have a few daffodils sprouting at the office and, if the weather permits, they should be blooming in a few weeks. I love the transformation from winter to spring.
I noticed daffodils coming up outside our office as well. I know you’re in Oregon and I’m in northern Nevada, but it seems we are both in the same climate zone!
Oh gosh. I LOVE the picture of the duck diving that you got. Too cute. I’ll be back.
Loving the duck butt. Adorable!
Wow! Your posts make me feel so inadequate as a blogger. Will you stop already?!?
Just kidding–utterly fabulous!
enjoyed them all. i love the bottoms up one with the duck.. ; )
