I took some photos of the osprey in the evening last night. We have been having record breaking heat and it’s just too hot to be out during the day. And it’s only going to get worse over the next few days. I hope the birds are able to withstand this heat.

I liked how the setting sun illuminated the trees in the background.

I didn’t get any of the babies this time. I did see them pop up a couple of times and they are losing their baby fur and starting to change color.

I read about the heatwave out West . . . stay safe.
Nice captures. Don’t see many big raptors here even though I know they are in the area.
Yup it’s going to get hot. Today is the coolest day for the foreseeable future. High of 90 today.
I’m told old people like heat . . . but, as an old person, I speak for them who are not enamored by it.
As another old person I donāt like it either.
Fantastic shots!
Some of the best images.
