Yellow-Headed Blackbird

The yellow-headed blackbird is generally found in western wetlands among the reeds . . . which is exactly where we found this bird. This was a first sighting for me even though the area map for the birds show that they can be found where I live. We saw these when I was out photographing birds with the photography meet up group at Klamath Basin.

This one hid in the reeds most of the time but did venture out long enough for us to get some photographs of him.

Looks like it is catching a bug
