It came out of nowhere and I had no time to react. It flew out of the marsh about 20 feet in front of me and was gone in an instant. It was big. Did I really see it, or was it a ghost?

I wish I’d been more prepared but it was so unexpected. I’m thinking it was a hawk but it was so fast I can’t be sure.
