I need help identifying what kind of duck this is. It doesn’t have the coloring of a female mallard. I checked with the Merlin Photo ID app and that wasn’t able to give me an ID. So I’m hoping someone can ID it for me.

Could also be some variant of a gadwall? Another possibility is a hybrid. Mallards interbreed with white domestic ducks sometimes. I saw photos once of white-breasted male mallards and that seemed like the most likely explanation.
Could be a hybrid mallard.
