We had more than a foot of snow fall in the last 24 hours. I couldn’t get out of my driveway this morning so I’m stuck until I can get us shoveled out. We have a very long driveway so I’m thinking by Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow we should be able to get out. This was taken with my iPhone at around 10 p.m. last night and the snow was still falling.

Stay warm! No snow down here, but we have a rare hard freeze warning.
The snow has stopped but it is cold – about 24 degrees. I’ve been out shoveling 2 times today and am about 1/3 done. Whew!!!
I always like getting snowed in. I liked it more when I was working and it meant an unscheduled day off.
I still enjoy it now that I am retired, but there’s not that same sense of having won the weather lottery.
I’m looking forward to the day I can retire so I can actually enjoy these kinds of days. I did get a snow day from work today simply because I cannot get out of my driveway. We have a long driveway and it takes several hours to shovel. I’m doing it in stages today . . . I’m about 1/3 done. I hope to finish by the end of the day.
You are doing it all wrong . . . if you shovel, eventually you will have no excuse to stay home.
I know but we’re going to friends for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow and I want to be able to drive there. My cupboards are bare.
Ah . . . you have friends. That explains it.
. . . I am lucky to both lack sources of such obligations and to have vast stores of food stuff at home.
Carry on, and good shoveling. (also, Happy Thanksgiving)
Good luck with the shovelling.
After about 6 hours of shoveling and only being 1/2 done, a very kind neighbor came and plowed us out. 🙂
I was hoping that some mechanical help would appear.
Wow!
Its pretty amazing.
Holy Cow!
No kidding. 🙂
