Seems like it’s really early this year. I’ve heard Crater Lake rim road has closed already. Seems like I might need to make other plans. I missed it because of a snow storm in early May, too. đŸ˜¦
I read about the snow at Crater Lake. They said they may be opening the north entrance this weekend because it was supposed to warm up. But looking out my window this morning, I don’t think they were right.
Now that’s a good sign for us… summer must be on the way… love the photo…
Thanks. I love seeing the snow on the mountains, but I’m really not ready for winter. I’d like a nice, long fall.
Weather certainly is turning. 49 degrees this morning here. Wasn’t it 100 last week!!!
It’s amazing how quickly it can change. A week ago it was 80. Now it’s 50.
There’s been some snow in Tahoe too. Coming early this year.
It looks that way. Crater Lake had 8″ of snow this week. But that’s not too unusual – they will get 500″ of snow during the winter season.

Judging by the webcam (http://www.nps.gov/crla/photosmultimedia/webcams.htm) it’s totally socked in by fog. I think I’ll pass on that visit for now.
I think the forecasters were wrong. It’s cool and wet here today and now the forecast is for wet weather the next couple of days.
If winter is coming, you have the consolation of a nice photo to mark its arrival.
As much as I dislike driving in snow in the winter, I do love seeing the snow on the mountains.
Beautiful! I love snow on mountain tops too đŸ™‚
