I have taken photos of these plants in my garden a number of times but I never get tired of them. They have such beautiful patterns . . . and they stay green all year long.
I’ve always called them hens and chicks (I think that’s what they are). They’re very prolific. We got a single plant from our daughter-in-law about 10 years ago and from that we have about 200 plants. We planted them in an area that didn’t have anything planted in it and doesn’t get any water and they’ve done very well.
Thank you, Cee. I love them. They grow quite well in the area we have them planted. We have about 200 of them now . . . all growing from one plant we planted 10 years ago. A very fertile hen. 🙂
Great photographs, fascinated me. Thank you dear Maralee, love, nia
Thank you, Nia.
These plants are very interesting. Any idea what they are called? As usual your photos are beautiful!

Wow. Come to think of it they look a lot like a plant that my father had in his yard for years. I think they are pretty hardy.
It is a fascinating plant… you got that right…
I like them because they’re growing in a pretty arid area and they look nice all year round.
Excellent macros. I adore hens and checks.

Beautiful! Very intriguing actually 🙂
