I’m trying to take advantage of the little time we have left with the hummers this summer. They will soon be migrating south for the winter.
This little fellow was perched on the top of the shepherd’s hook where I have the feeder hanging. Because he was silhouetted against a brighter sky, I tried to spot meter on him but it was still pretty dark. I had to bring out some of the details in the bird in Lightroom and NIK Software.

Omigosh, there he is again. I’m starting to think he’s got a bit of a problem. 😉
I think he just doesn’t like me much.
LOL!
Do some of them stay all year round?
We don’t have any here that stay all year – its too cold in the winter. The Oregon coast and valley do have some that stay the whole year.
Where I live, they stay all year round. Where is this place?
I’m in Bend, Oregon. Just east of the Cascade mountains. Where are you?
Burnaby, British Columbia, just across the border. I suppose we are warmer that Bend. There is a new baby on the Holy Tree. Too cute.
Lovely pictures.. The angles work beautifully..
Love your pictures of the little guys!!
