I am arachnophobic and try to stay as far away from spiders as I can. If there is a spider I can tolerate, it is a daddy-long-legs.
This one was sitting on a plant outside my house and took the opportunity to photograph it. Fortunately for me, he didn’t make any sudden moves or I would have taken off screaming.

Nice images. I believe that Daddy-Long-Legs are harmless and don’t even bite people. In my area, hurting one means you will have bad luck soon. At least this is what my parents always told me…
You can probably tolerate it because it’s not a spider.
It’s a brown harvestman.
Sometimes the amount of information you have in your brain amazes me. I’m impressed. 🙂
And when I don’t know something, I make it up. I figure if they don’t know, I can say pretty much anything I want.
