I have a bit of wanderlust in me and love to travel, although I don’t get to travel nearly as much as I’d like. I think that traveling to new places, understanding different cultures and meeting new people gives us a better understanding of the world around us. One thing I’ve discovered in my travels is that basically people everywhere are the same. Most of us work hard to provide for our families and our day-to-day lives are pretty much the same.
Several years ago I was able to go on a walking tour of Scotland with two of my sisters and my two nieces. It was a wonderful way to spend some time with my family and see a new country at the same time.
I loved Scotland. The people were wonderful, the scenery gorgeous, and we were fortunate to have good weather most of the time we were there. We didn’t get rained on during any of our walks.
Over the next couple of days, I will be posting a few photos from that trip.
Today it is the iconic Eilean Donan Castle. This was actually our last stop on our way back to Glasgow at the end of the trip.

escenarios encantados! saludos
Gracias.
Scotland is such a magical place. Looking forwaard to your future post about your walking tour.
Thank you. I would love to go back to spend more time and really explore the country.
I’ve been to scottland and I loved it!
I’d love to go back and spend more time. One week is not enough time to get to know a place.
Great photo!
Thanks, Mo.
I love Scotland and look forward to more photos. These are beautiful – I remember being there but I don’t think I have photos for whatever reason.
Thanks, Pat. It’s been fun for me to “revisit” while going through my photos.
Love the photos.. !
Thank you very much.
I love castles, they have a way of bring mysteries to the fore.. lovely photo…
Me, too. This one is very well kept but there are many in great disrepair. It would be fun to do a castle tour sometime and just go from castle to castle.
Refreshing memories…..that’s what photography is all about.
I’m enjoying going back and revisiting through my photos. But it really makes me want to go back. 🙂
Fairyland. 🙂
It is a fairlyland.
Fairly a land? 🙂
