Eilean Donan Castle

DSC_1781-Edit-EditI have a bit of wanderlust in me and love to travel, although I don’t get to travel nearly as much as I’d like.  I think that traveling to new places, understanding different cultures and meeting new people gives us a better understanding of the world around us.  One thing I’ve discovered in my travels is that basically people everywhere are the same.  Most of us work hard to provide for our families and our day-to-day lives are pretty much the same.

Several years ago I was able to go on a walking tour of Scotland with two of my sisters and my two nieces.  It was a wonderful way to spend some time with my family and see a new country at the same time.

I loved Scotland.  The people were wonderful, the scenery gorgeous, and we were fortunate to have good weather most of the time we were there.  We didn’t get rained on during any of our walks.

Over the next couple of days, I will be posting a few photos from that trip.

DSC_1753-EditToday it is the iconic Eilean Donan Castle.  This was actually our last stop on our way back to Glasgow at the end of the trip.

  1. I love Scotland and look forward to more photos. These are beautiful – I remember being there but I don’t think I have photos for whatever reason.
