I found these little fellows crawling around on some of my flowers. They were hard to photograph as there was a fairly brisk wind blowing.
This one was teeny tiny – not more than 1/4 inch.
This one was a little bigger – about 3/4 inch.
This fly is just thrown in as a bonus.

Glad you included the bonus photo…that’s actually my favorite. Love the colors in that one. Nice photos! 🙂
Thanks. It was a very colorful fly and fit the bill of itsy bitsy. It was very small.
🙂
Now all you need is one of the spiders catching the fly… lovely captures Maralee…
Thanks, Rob. I’d love to see that some time.
the second one looks futuristic!
He does. He sort of blended in with the background.
Did you use a macro lens? I don’t have one—but then I’m not a big fan of spiders so maybe I don’t need one. 🙂
I do use a macro lens. I was able to get about 1″ away from the spider but the wind was blowing so it was hard to keep it focused.
The fly pic is my favorite. I’ve never seen colors like that on a fly.
Its a very colorful fly and very, very tiny. About 1/4 inch.
Thank you for the bonus.

Amazing photos, Maralee!
Thanks, Carissa.
Not seen the spiders on the flowers yet. Last year I got a bunch, and hope to do so again.
