If it hadn’t been as hot as it was, it would have been fun to do some hiking at Red Rock Canyon. But, being that it was 110 degrees, that didn’t happen. We did take a drive through the park though. We just missed sunset, although there was still a glow on the distant rocks.
We saw tortoise crossing signs throughout the park, and as hard as I looked, I didn’t see any.

One of my favorite places to take pictures!
I will go back and spend more time when it’s a little cooler. It’s a gorgeous area.
When we lived in Las Vegas, Red Rock Canyon was a favorite hiking destination for us. Never saw any turtles just Burros. 🙂
We didn’t see any burros either. But next time I will spend more time there.
It looks beautiful.
It is a beautiful place. I wish I could have spent more time there.
Wonderful…
Thank you, David.
Now that place looks beautiful…
It is a beautiful place. If it hadn’t been so darned hot, I would have done some hiking there.
Beautiful palette in the first image, Maralee.
Thank you, Jane.
Disappointing about the tortoises, no?
What gorgeous photos ! Love their wildlife signs out there. Always see the sign, never the wildlife.
