One thing taking photos almost every day has done for me is open my eyes. I notice the little things much more. These leaves caught my eye as I was going for a walk one evening. We’ve had this bush in our yard for years and this is the first time I’ve noticed the little fuzzies that were with the leaves. Maybe it was the way the light was hitting it but it caught my eye.

Lovely … just so far as our spring is over here!
Thanks, Viveka. How is your spring? Lots of flowers?
Love the little fuzzies…
Thanks, Rob. I like them too.
Being a photographer and observing nature more closely seem to go hand in hand.
They certainly do.
The camera in hand has certainly opened my eyes to the passing show.
Me, too. I’m so much more observant.
Do you know what kind of plant it is? I don’t think I’ve ever seen that around here, but after reading your post I’m left to wonder if perhaps I’ve just never seen it.
I don’t know what it is. We bought this bush several years ago. We got it for the branches which are red in the winter. We thought it would make a nice contrast to the snow. It has been a very hardy bush and grows quite fast.
Good eye,
Thank you very much.
