I wanted to try to get some photos of the tulips when they opened using backlighting from the sun. We were fortunate to have a couple of beautiful, sunny days. Today there was a lot of sunshine but there was a thin high cloud cover which made for a little more diffused lighting.

Top of the class for you Maralee… for thinking of this 100% pass, for the photographs 100% pass, to the top of the class for you… a true professional if you ask me…
Thank you so much, Rob. You make be blush.
I don’t think that I have ever seen a backlit photo of a tulip before, but your results are outstanding!
Thank you very much.
Beautiful effect, Maralee!
Thank you, Carissa.
Beautiful Pictures! I love the ‘dreamy’ look that the back-lighting produces… Great job!
Thank you, Wyatt. I’m going to have to try it with some other flowers now. 🙂
WOW … wow … know you getting serious in your “playing around”. Stunning all of them – Amazing how the color change depending on the light behind. My pick has to be the second last, because I love the deep purple and the strong yellow.
Thank you, Viveka. I think the back light gives it a softness and glow. I think it helped that the light wasn’t too harsh.
You have done a fantastic job with that bunch of tulips … I agree with you that it gives a glow and a softness to the photo. It’s like using back light in a photo software, but fare better with a studio light behind.
AMAZING PHOTOS!
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
Thank you, Francine.
These are absolutely amazing ! Your lighting, colors and closeups are fantastic!
Thank you so much, Bella.
WOW!
Thank you, Nia.
Stunning! Love the colors 🙂
Thanks, Inga. I thought the backlighting worked well with this color.
