If you visit Yellowstone National Park, you really need several days to spend time to enjoy everything about the park. There is so much to see and do.

But what would a trip to Yellowstone be without a stop at the most famous geyser in the world . . . Old Faithful. It was discovered in 1970 and erupts about every 92 minutes. It shoots water 130 – 190 feet into the air.
If you like waterfalls, Lower Falls is another beautiful spot. There are several waterfalls in the Park but this is the only one we had time to stop at.

I hope to get back to Yellowstone again before too long and spend a little more time there.

It’s one of our considerations for vacation this year. It’s been nearly 5 years since we were there last, and it pulls us so.
It’s been three years since we’ve been there so I’m ready to go back. And it’s not like it’s that far away from us. We could drive there in a day . . . although it would be a LONG day.
It’s only a 8-9 hour drive for us . . . easily done in a day.
Fantastic!
Thank you, Carissa.
I’m loving the photos! I have two slide trays full of the photos that I shot while in Yellowstone, but they want $1.25 each to digitize them. It would be cheaper to go back and shoot them all over again. 😉
I know what you mean about the slides. When I was using film, I did all my photos on slides. I have a scanner to process them myself but it take a lot of time. Do you have a Costco near you? I think they put slide on a disk for .25 per slide.
Yes, there’s a Costco near me, but I wish you hadn’t told me how cheap they are, that spoils my excuse to go back to Yellowstone. 😉
I know. It still isn’t cheap when you have hundreds of slides, but I have to pick and choose which ones I want to do.
Wow, again …. That is some stunning nature – stunning photos! That second photo is so beautiful.
And the one with your own shadow – great idea.
Thanks, Viveka. Yellowstone is a photographer’s dream.
A magic place it seems…
It is a pretty magical place.
Again I have to say that these are amazing images!!!!!
Love Yellowstone. Is your top “banner” photo in Montana? I lived in Montana 2 times and it looks like it there.
The banned is from where I live in Oregon. It’s the Cascade Mountain Range.
Okay, I have lived there also. I did know it looked like I have seen it. Thanks for answering. My home state is Washington and I was born In Oregon and lived there as a child. Washing ton for about 25 years.
I’ve been in Oregon for 14 years. I’ve visited Washington a number of times. It’s another very beautiful state.
