Several years ago, my husband surprised me on our anniversary with a ride with a team of racing sled dogs. It was one of the most exhilarating things I’ve done. It was snowing heavily and the trees were thick with snow.
We were fortunate to have Rachael Scdoris as our musher and guide for our ride. She is legally blind and was on her very last training ride before going to Alaska to race in the Iditerod. She didn’t complete the Iditerod that year, but has raced and completed it several times since. She is an amazing woman.

Exhilarating, indeed! Wow!
It was a lot of fun. I’d do it again in a heartbeat.
Wow! Fantastic!
Thank you.
The dogs look happy and healthy beautiful photo.
Thank you. These dogs are treated very well and they are really beautiful dogs.
Great experience …. have done it myself in Antarctica .. but I didn’t drive the dogs only a cool passanger … amazing that how people just take on life .. doesn’t matter what disability they have.
We were just passengers too so we got to enjoy the view along the way. It must have been amazing to do this in Antarctica.
Wow that is awesome!
Thanks, Renee.
Cool!
Thanks, David. It was pretty cool
This looks like a fairy book story… lovely…
I like the snow when it’s soft and fluffy like this.
