Day 323 – In My Backyard

Today was a good day to do some chores in the back yard . . . i.e. raking pine needles.  It was chilly and a bit windy, but no rain.

I took my camera out to take some photos of a few things I spotted while I was out there.

One was a section of one of the pine tress where it looked like a large branch had fallen off.  Where the branch used to be, the tree was oozing sap.  It’s not a very interesting photo, but you can see the sap running down.

The dandelion and seed pods were leftovers from summer.

And the pine needles . . . well, they’re just pine needles.

  1. It is marvelous how you can make such everyday things look so outstanding when you photograph them… a weeping trunk of pine.. seen so often yet never in the light to which you see it and capture it…”And the pine needles . . . well, they’re just pine needles.” you say.. then some how post a photo that makes them look so much more than just pine needles… you are a very talented photographer…
