Day 311 – Iron Horse Antique Store

I wanted to do something different today.  As much as I love the autumn colors, I think I’ve taken enough photos of them for now.

I decided to go to the Iron Horse Antique Store here in Bend on my lunch hour today.  I’ve driven by it before and other’s have told me about it, but I’d never been inside before.  I could have spent hours in there taking photos.  The owner was gracious enough to let me take some photos.

I barely had enough time to walk through the store, let alone take photos, before I had to get back to work.  I did manage a few shots.  I plan on going back one day when I have much more time to take more photos.  There were a lot of interesting things in the store.

Because I was shooting inside a fairly dark building with no flash or tripod, I used a very high ISO of 3200 to shoot these photos.

These old skates are my favorite photo.

  1. Fun and playful … choice today – great … How could you hold you camera still with so high ISO ????? Because it means very slow shutter time. My pick is the boots or the car …. the boots., Brilliant collection today.

  2. I agree with you, the ice skates are a fabulous photo!! My favorite as well. This is a case where turning it to B/W and having a lot of grain would simulate an antique photo might be stellar, but it might just look like bad photoshop. 😉

  3. Maralee, I have to agree with you the ice skates are awesome. This photo might be one that in B/W with a lot of grain could make it look like the photo is as old as the skates. I thought I posted something similar a while ago but…if it turns this is twice, it is still very sincere. 😉
