It is truly the end of season. We have our first winter weather advisory tonight. I doubt that we will get any snow where we’re at, but I’m sure the mountains will be white when they emerge from the clouds.
It was cold and windy out today so I just went into my back yard to take photos of some of the remnants of the summer plants.

Love your first photo! A work of art!
Thank you so much.
I like the second one. Such delicate tendrils!
Thanks, Carissa. I don’t know what kind of plant it was originally, but I like the end result of it.
Even in their terminal state they still have a certain undeniable beauty… love the second photo…
Thanks, Rob. It makes me hopeful that in my old age, there will still be some hidden beauty. 🙂
Oooh, so beautifully sculptural, all of these!
Thanks so much, Sarah.
Yes, the summer is over … here comes the winter – and you already had a taste of it. Last photo my pick of Sunday, a bit behind here … had a blog absent free day yesterday.
Yes, winter is on its way. I’m not quite ready for it . . . I want autumn to stick around a bit longer.
Same here … but up in the North of Sweden they had their first snow months ago .. and they start building the Ice Hotel soon, but the ice they took up last year already.
