Earlier this summer, I had the bright idea of coloring daisies by putting them in water with food color. I had done it years and years ago and they had turned out really pretty. My attempt this summer didn’t turn out quite like I remembered. They all wilted and died before they ever started turning color.
When I saw these colored daisies at the store this week (and they were on sale), I had to get them and photograph them. The all look so happy together.

You are always at your best with flora (and fauna)!
Thank you so much.
You could have easily fibbed and said these were the daisies you colored. I like natural but these are pretty too.
Thanks, Wendy.
You are such an expert on flower photography…. love the happy colours…
Thanks, Rob. It was all the colors that drew me to them.
Pretty! They actually look like they’ve been ‘water coloured’! 🙂
Thanks, Zelmare.
That’s an interesting idea. I once tried to wash some dirt splashed daisies off under the faucet. It worked fine as long as I held them right side up. But the minute I turned them upside down, the petal all fell off. The fragile strength of flowers never fails to amaze me.
I’m always amazed how flowers can make it through downpours, thunderstorms, windstorms and everything without falling apart.
¡Bellas tomas! colores preciosos!!
Grazie.
Wow! These are so beautiful. I love the softness on the edges.
Thank you. I appreciate it.
Beautiful, as always!
