I came across these spider webs on a gate near my home. What struck me the most with these webs was the thickness of the strings on the web. 
The really looked more like string. There were about half a dozen of these webs on the gate. I took these photos early in the morning. I went back this evening to take more and they were all gone.

I loved your spider. I’m not a big fan of spiders so I was glad there weren’t any in my webs.
I’m fascinated by webs and so are my camera- but how did you manage to get them so white and clear. Just now looking at a EOS D20 on Ebay – refurbished for £129.00 = $207.0 – and hopefully my beautiful lenses will fit. Haven’t made my mind up yet. Have to inquire about the lenses first and we don’t have a camera shop in Landskrona.
I brought up the contrast a little in Photoshop. I’ve been looking for webs all summer and didn’t find any that were really interesting until I found these. Let me know if you get the camera.
Yes, of course I will .. don’t want to buy until I know for sure – because I read somewhere that the lenses I have fit some models. Only to make me more confused. *smile

Thanks, Rob. I was fortunate to stumble on these. And the amazing thing is how short a time they last. I took these photos in the morning and they were all gone that afternoon. Either someone cleaned them off or the wind blew them down.
