The fire that I wrote about yesterday is now about 2000 acres. The good news is the wind has changed direction and it is heading away from civilization. The smoke covering the area created another spectacular red sunrise this morning. This photo was taken from my office just after sunrise.
I’m attaching a photo that I forgot to post a couple of days ago. This was taken at the Shark’s Reef at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas. It was difficult to take photos because it was so dimly lit. Even with a very high ISO, it was almost too dark. The best photos were of the jellyfish. I loved the way they were floating around in the water.

That’s good news! And what a beautiful sunrise you captured.
Thank you very much.
Wonderful photos and I’m glad about the fire… just found your other blog you’ve been hiding from me… lovely blog as well…
Thanks, Rob. Tux doesn’t write his blog very often – only when he does something worth writing about. 🙂
Good news for your that the fire changed direction
– but a beautiful shot with wonderful colors… 😉
Thank you. The fire is only 5% contained but the winds have died down and the weather is cooler, so for now it is not threatening anyone.
Two very different, but very beautiful pictures! 🙂
Thank you, Zelmare.
Thanks for the good news, so I can concentrate on the picture; absolutely stunning picture of a sunset!
